Dr. Thomas C. Körber is partner and head of the IP/IT/Commercial practice group of Arnecke Sibeth Dabelstein. Dr. Körber is a proven expert and specialist in intellectual property law. He specializes in legal advice and legal enforcement up to the European Court of Justice, in particular in the areas of intellectual property law (trademark law, design law, copyright law, competition law, personal rights law and sports law). In addition, he advises on strategic issues relating to the choice of trademarks and ensures the establishment and maintenance of IP rights for his clients worldwide. Furtheron, he advises intensively on the conception of advertising campaigns and the introduction of new products (labelling, official approvals, etc.). His German and international clients include companies in the sports, chemical, food and feed, pharmaceutical, luxury goods, cosmetics, software, media, electronics, real estate, fashion, clothing and consumer goods sectors. In recent years he has played a leading role in a large number of landmark judgements by the highest courts and is also currently involved in legal disputes relating to new legal issues – also at European level. Dr. Körber regularly gives lectures in his main areas and is a seminar leader at the Gesellschaft für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz (GRUR) with regard to exploitation rights in sport as well as a lecturer in the course for sports law specialists at the DeutscheAnwaltAkademie. He is also an arbitrator at the German Sports Arbitration Court of the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS) and author of numerous scientific publications in leading journals and books.
